Job summary

Tripod Partners is seeking a Qualified Social Worker for the Duty & Assessment Team in Lewes, East Sussex. The role is a locum/full-time position paying £38ph, based in Lewes with a focus on safeguarding and complex family cases.

You will work with children, young people and families, conducting assessments, formulating care plans, and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Recognized Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience within Children's Social Care.
• Strong experience in duty, assessment and safeguarding work.
• Excellent communication, report-writing and partnership-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory social work tasks relating to child safeguarding and maltreatment.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments of children, young people and families.
• Develop care and support plans to promote positive outcomes.
• Assess and supervise foster carers where required.
• Prepare and present reports to panels and court when required.
• Liaise with partner agencies to share information for safeguarding.
