Job summary

Academics Ltd, on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher for a November start on a fixed-term contract. The role focuses on GCSE Drama and A-Level Theatre Studies, with potential extension.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, foster confidence and performance, maintain high behaviour standards, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment. NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching GCSE Drama and A-Level Theatre Studies.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for the performing arts.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to engage students.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable approach; both ECTs and experienced teachers welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Drama lessons at GCSE level and Theatre Studies at A-Level.
• Encourage students to develop confidence and performance skills.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and effective classroom management.
