Job summary

Castle Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work with secondary schools across Hull and East Yorkshire. You will take responsibility for classes when a teacher is unavailable, delivering pre-planned work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Confidence, adaptability and good people skills are essential. Opportunities range from occasional days to regular weekly work and longer-term placements.

Qualifications

• No teaching qualification required.
• Experience supervising classes across KS3/KS4 preferred.
• Confidence, adaptability and good people skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver pre-planned work and follow instructions
• Manage classroom behaviour and expectations
• Encourage pupils to stay engaged with learning
• Provide feedback to teaching staff
• Follow safeguarding policies and school guidelines
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
