Job summary

CATS College Cambridge seeks a Teacher of Computer Science to deliver GCSE, Pre‑A Level and A Level courses for a diverse international cohort. The post is 0.6 FTE across five days with an immediate start.

You will plan engaging, challenging lessons and actively contribute to an ambitious academic culture, supporting learners from varied backgrounds. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science (or related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification, or be working towards

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering or closely related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary or sixth-form level.
• Strong subject knowledge including programming, algorithms and computational thinking.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across GCSE, Pre-A Level and A Level programmes.
• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging and challenging lessons.
• Support students from diverse educational and international backgrounds.
• Contribute to the academic, pastoral and wider life of the College.
• Help develop Computer Science as a dynamic subject area.
