Job summary

Sopra Steria Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex IT projects within our Aerospace, Defence and Security team in the UK. You will oversee governance, reporting, and risk management while guiding multi-partner programmes to successful outcomes.

The role requires flexibility and travel to multiple client sites across Hemel Hempstead, Salisbury, Farnborough, and potentially Gloucester. DV clearance is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Project Management, including governance and risk management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate under pressure.
• Commercial awareness, pricing, and financial understanding.
• Flexibility across varied projects and travel to client sites.
• Willingness to obtain DV clearance (Developed Vetting).

Responsibilities

• Leading end-to-end delivery of IT and technology projects, ensuring governance and reporting of progress, risks and dependencies.
• Managing project teams and fostering a collaborative culture to achieve successful outcomes.
• Engaging and influencing senior partners confidently and constructively.
• Maintaining commercial awareness to ensure projects remain viable and competitive.
• Driving accountability for delivery and proactively resolving issues.
• Travel to multiple client sites across the UK as required.
