Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Contract Specialist to oversee the commercial and operational management of a complex function across multiple UK sites. The role requires DV security clearance and on-site presence during working hours, with a 37.5 hour workweek.

The successful candidate will manage costs, forecasts and governance, coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and drive process improvements to deliver business objectives in a secure, high‑speed environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within commercial operations, business management, contract management, supplier management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day commercial and operational management of a defined business function, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with agreed controls and governance requirements.
• Manage financial activities including cost control, forecasting, reporting, budget inputs, payment governance, and performance analysis.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, developing effective working relationships and ensuring timely resolution of issues and escalations.
• Maintain and continually improve operational processes, controls, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms to support business objectives.
• Monitor and manage supplier and partner performance, ensuring contractual and commercial obligations are understood, controlled, and delivered effectively.
