Job summary

The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair is seeking a Duty Security Officer to protect guests, associates and property while delivering warm, intuitive service. This role blends operational leadership with guest engagement in a 24/7 luxury hotel environment.

You will lead by example, exercise calm and decisive decision‑making, and uphold the highest standards of discretion and professionalism across shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• SIA certification preferred; First Aid at Work certificate (min 3 days) required.
• Strong leadership and guest‑oriented service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security team during your shift, ensuring safety of guests, associates and property and maintaining high service standards.
• Respond decisively to security incidents, emergencies and fire alarms following established procedures.
• Assess, investigate and report security risks, incidents and safety hazards with accurate records and action.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure compliance of fire doors, escape routes and emergency access points.
• Manage key control, support secure cash movements and maintain security documentation.
• Liaise with police, emergency services and government agencies when required.
• Support delivery of security training to associates and contribute to safety awareness across the hotel.
• Record, store and communicate lost property in line with hotel procedures.

The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. As a Duty Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our guests, associates, and property while delivering the warm, intuitive service that defines Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality. This position combines operational leadership with exceptional guest engagement, requiring someone who is calm under pressure, confident in decision‑making, and committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Security team during your shift, ensuring the safety and security of all guests, associates, and the property while maintaining the highest standards of service.
• Respond decisively to security incidents, emergencies, fire alarms, and other critical situations, following established emergency procedures and providing clear leadership throughout.
• Assess, investigate, and report security risks, incidents, thefts, criminal offences, and safety hazards, ensuring accurate records are maintained and appropriate action is taken.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout the property, ensuring fire doors, escape routes, and emergency access points remain compliant and unobstructed.
• Manage key control systems, support secure cash movements, and maintain all security documentation to the required standard.
• Liaise professionally with police, emergency services, and government agencies when required.
• Support the delivery of security‑related training to associates and contribute to ongoing safety awareness across the hotel.
• Ensure all lost property is recorded, stored, and communicated in line with hotel procedures.
