Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Duty Pharmacy Manager to lead a team, deliver NHS and private services, and provide excellent patient care in our community. This role focuses on developing people, supporting pharmacists, and driving service quality across the pharmacy.

You will work with the Pharmacy Manager to mentor staff, build strong links with GPs, and manage performance while maintaining Tesco's patient-first approach. Flexible working options are available to support life balance.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree required.
  • Strong leadership and team empowerment.
  • GPhC registration and PVG scheme willingness.
  • DBS check to be completed before employment.

Responsibilities

  • Supply prescriptions and deliver NHS and Private services with healthcare advice to customers.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager to lead, train, and develop colleagues.

You will be responsible for
  • You'll supply prescriptions, deliver a range of NHS and Private services and provide healthcare advice to customers
  • You'll play anactive role in our charities support program giving advice to people in the community at risk of or living with cancer,heartdisease, and diabetes.
  • You’ll support the Pharmacy Manager to lead, train, and develop colleagues.
  • You’ll support the Pharmacy Manager in building relationships with Primary Care Networks and GPs’ surgeries
  • You’ll ensure accurate payment claims for NHS-covered items.
You will need
  • You’ll have a Pharmacy Degree.
  • You’ll be passionate about leading and empowering a team.
  • You’ll be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and be willing to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme - we'll help you with this when we offer you the role.
  • You’ll complete a DBS check (organised by us) before employment.

Our Duty Pharmacy Managers are supported by wider store teams, such as security, stock replenishment, range management, and administration to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for our customers and patients, whilst maintaining theirs and our colleague’s safety.
