Job summary

Tesco Pharmacy is seeking a Duty Pharmacy Manager in Scunthorpe to lead a team of pharmacists and deliver NHS and private services to customers while upholding high standards of care.

You will support the Pharmacy Manager, build links with GP surgeries and Primary Care Networks, and promote community health through Tesco's pharmacy network, with opportunities for flexible working and career development.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist qualifications required: Pharmacy degree and GPhC registration.
• Willingness to join PVG scheme and DBS check.
• Flexibility to work; DBS organized by Tesco.

Responsibilities

• Supply prescriptions and NHS/private services; provide healthcare advice to customers.
• Contribute to charity support programs and community health initiatives.
• Support Pharmacy Manager to lead, train and develop colleagues.
• Build strong relationships with Primary Care Networks and GP surgeries.
• Ensure NHS payment claims are accurate and timely.

You will be responsible for

• You’ll supply prescriptions, deliver a range of NHS and Private services and provide healthcare advice to customers
• You'll play anactive role in our charities support program giving advice to people in the community at risk of or living with cancer,heartdisease, and diabetes.
• You’ll support the Pharmacy Manager to lead, train, and develop colleagues.
• You’ll support the Pharmacy Manager in building relationships with Primary Care Networks and GPs’ surgeries
• You'll ensure accurate payment claims for NHS-covered items.
  

You will need

• You’ll have a Pharmacy Degree.
• You’ll be passionate about leading and empowering a team.
• You’ll be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and be willing to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme – we’ll help you with this when we offer you the role.
• You’ll complete a DBS check (organised by us) before employment.

Our Duty Pharmacy Managers are supported by wider store teams, such as security, stock replenishment, range management, and administration to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for our customers and patients, whilst maintaining theirs and our colleague’s safety.
