A local government authority is seeking Duty Officers to play a vital role at Kinson Community Centre in Bournemouth. Working in a team, you will support the centre's operations, engage with the community, and ensure a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include managing safety compliance, overseeing volunteers, and addressing public inquiries. Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellent service, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. This part-time position offers flexible hours and a pay range of £30,024 to £33,143 pro rata.
The pay range for this role will be £30,024– £33,143 (pro rata for part‑time colleagues).

Duty Officer – 15 hours a week, Monday – Friday morning, 7.00am – 10.00am
Duty Officer – 25 hours a week, Monday – Friday daytimes
Duty Officer – 18.5 hours a week, evenings and alternate weekends
We are looking for 3 motivated team players who will have a crucial role at the heart of Kinson Community Centre as Duty Officers, where you will be required to work with different council service areas, alongside centre hirers, community and voluntary groups, elected members, and other stakeholders.
Supported by the Centre Manager, you will actively engage with members of the public, local communities and centre hirers to develop the community centre as a vibrant part of the community. The role will also support the maintenance and day‑to‑day running of Kinson Community Centre in order to provide a safe, welcoming and professional environment for all the building users – centre users, visitors, volunteers and staff.
You will also support the Friends of Kinson Community Centre volunteers to become sustainable, by helping them to meet the aims of their organisation.
