Jewish Care is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker within its Residential Care team, covering two mental health care homes. The role focuses on personal care, medication administration, daily routines and companionship to help residents maintain independence and dignity. Sidney Corob House serves adults 50+, while Jack Gardner House caters to Jewish adults 18+.

Shifts follow a rota including mornings, long days, nights and weekends, with ongoing training and development offered to staff.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mental health conditions.
• Experience supporting people with mental health challenges, ideally in residential care.
• Experience of personal care, medication administration and risk assessments.
• Ability to engage and motivate people with complex needs.
• Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care to residents.
• Assist residents with meals.
• Administer medication.
• Support residents in daily routines to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Assist in organising and taking part in recreational activities.
• Work with colleagues, families and other stakeholders to give holistic support.
