Job summary

M Group Energy is seeking a Smart Metering Engineer to replace traditional meters with smart meters and handle emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of E.ON NEXT. You will work in customers' homes, ensuring meters are operating correctly and explained to customers.

You will travel within your area, complete around five jobs per day, and access a schedule up to two weeks ahead. Continuous training and a clear path for career longevity are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• MOCOPA experience to multi rate level is a bonus.
• CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1 or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exchange traditional meters for smart meters and handle emergency/maintenance appointments.
• Complete installation and ongoing maintenance of smart meters in customers' homes.
• Travel around your area, aim for ~5 jobs per day, with schedule available up to two weeks in advance.

What will you be doing?

As a Smart Metering Engineer, you'll be exchanging traditional meters for smart, along with responding to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of E.ON NEXT, ensuring customers Smart Meters are working correctly. Our smart metering partnership with E.ON NEXT is in it’s twelfth year, built on continuous high performance, resulting in multiple contract extensions

Customer service is our top priority. You'll make sure that all jobs are completed on time and our customers are explained the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter. Do you enjoy working on your own,chatting to customers and meeting new people?

As part of your day, you'll be completing the installation and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of smart meters in our customers homes. You will be doing around 5 jobs per day. Do you want to make some extra money? There's an uncapped bonus for any extra jobs you complete too.

You’ll be travelling around your area using your tablet to see your jobs for the day. Like to plan ahead? You will have access to your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance.

What you’ll bring

- Valid UK driving licence

- You must have held your licence for 1 year and have less that 6 points.

- Do you have a CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or hold an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel? Are you experiences installing gas and electric smart meters?

- Have you got previous MOCOPA experience to a multi rate level?

If you have the below qualifications and skills, great, but you don’t need them to apply;

- Bonus qualifications such as REGT1 (Medium Pressure) and 3 phase

- Ideally have been registered on the EUSR portal
