Job summary

Centrica Business Solutions in Salford is offering an Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship at Level 3. You will learn on the job across the design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems within CBS energy and decarbonisation projects, while studying with the Trafford and Stockport College Group.

The apprenticeship spans 4 years, with 40-hour weeks, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• GCSE in Maths at grade 4 or above.
• GCSE in Science or a technical subject desirable.
• Full UK driving licence desirable; role is physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Complete the apprenticeship programme, including off-the-job learning and assessments.
• Work under supervision and escalate issues promptly.
• Assist with preparation of mechanical engineering information and equipment schedules.
• Gain practical experience with mechanical systems across CBS projects.
• Record information and produce handover notes and reports.
