About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DT Technician to join our team to work in a thriving Design and Technology department in Sheffield. The successful candidate will support staff and students across a range of DT disciplines, ensuring the smooth running of workshops, maintaining equipment, and promoting a safe and creative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare materials, tools, and resources for DT lessons and practical sessions.
  • Maintain, repair, and organise equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging, hands‑on learning experiences.
  • Assist students with technical processes, demonstrating safe and correct use of machinery.
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies as required.
About You
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a strong background in Design and Technology.
  • Knowledge of workshop machinery, tools, and materials.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
