Employer: Secondary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London

Actual Annual Salary: £27,679

Start date: As soon as possible

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays 8am to 4pm, term time only + 2 weeks (44-week contract)

Aston Education is looking for a dynamic Design Technology (DT) Technician to join this Ofsted Good 11-18 mainstream secondary school in Lewisham, Southeast London. The school has excellent facilities and DT machinery.

As a DT Technician, you'll provide technical support to the DT department of the Academy in order to support teaching and learning.

You'll ensure equipment and materials are prepared for lessons and practical demonstrations as instructed by the teaching staff. You'll also support teachers in advising students on the safe and proper use of the equipment and support students in learning activities as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working as a DT Technician
  • Experience working with young people in a secondary school
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
