Full-Time Long-Term Immediate Start Competitive Pay (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design & Technology (DT) Technician to join the DT department at a thriving secondary school in Southwark. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering the chance to play a key part in a creative and supportive school community.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers with the preparation and delivery of practical DT lessons
  • Maintain and organise equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition
  • Set up and clear away materials for lessons and keep workshops well-stocked and tidy
  • Assist students during practical activities, offering technical support and guidance
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and contribute to the smooth running of the department
  • Promote and uphold health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
  • Previous technical or school-based experience is desirable, but not essential
  • A keen interest in Design & Technology with a proactive and hands-on approach
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
