Design Technology Technician (Part Time) - Independent School

Location : Essex (easily accessible through the Elizabeth Line) Start Date : ASAP

Contract : Fixed-term contract, 5th January to 26th June 2026.

Timetable : Part Time, Term-Time Only (22.5 hours per week)

Salary : £12,858 (FTE £27,522)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Design Technology Technician to join a well-resourced independent school in Essex from November 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a thriving Design Technology Department within a forward-thinking and welcoming school community.

Working closely with the Head of Department and teaching staff, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting practical lessons, maintaining workshop machinery, preparing resources, and contributing to the smooth running and ongoing development of the DT Department.

This is a part-time, term-time-only position (Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 8.00am-4.15pm), with the requirement to attend INSET days and up to three Saturdays or equivalent per year.
