Job summary

Redline Group, partnered with a globally recognised audio technology organisation, is seeking a DSP Engineer in Manchester to develop DSP for hardware-based audio products and optimise real-time audio on embedded platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware and software colleagues to integrate DSP algorithms, balancing latency and sound quality across professional audio devices. On-site role with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing DSP for hardware-based products (embedded audio systems, DSP-enabled devices).
• Strong knowledge of DSP algorithms and real-time audio processing.
• Experience programming in C or C++, with MATLAB or Python beneficial.
• Understanding of embedded processors and integration of signal processing into hardware.
• Passion for audio technology, music or professional sound products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise DSP algorithms for embedded processors and dedicated audio hardware.
• Test and balance real-time audio processing for latency, performance and sound quality.
• Integrate DSP algorithms with embedded software, firmware and hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers across product development and testing.
• Investigate and optimise signal processing techniques to enhance professional audio products.
