Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are seeking a Site Manager to oversee a commercial drylining package on a project in Devizes.

You will coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to maintain programme targets, while monitoring quality and safety across all works. The role offers permanent or contract employment, a project around 40 weeks starting November 2026, with salary up to £50,000 or day rate up to £250, plus potential for further work.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing commercial drylining packages.
• Previous experience as a Site Manager within a specialist subcontractor or similar construction environment.
• Strong technical understanding of drylining systems, specifications and installation methods.
• Ability to obtain and pass the required security clearances.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures and site documentation.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials effectively.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification, or relevant equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for a commercial drylining package in Devizes.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to maintain programme targets.
• Monitor quality, health and safety, and compliance across all drylining works.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, site diaries and relevant project records.
• Liaise with the principal contractor, consultants and wider project team.
• Monitor progress against project milestones and address any issues affecting delivery.
• Ensure all required security clearances are obtained and maintained.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
