Job summary

Ring in Cambridge is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Robotics Platform Engineering team. You will deliver high-quality C/C++ code for Ring Devices and help build the software framework for autonomous robotics systems.

The role requires embedded development experience, knowledge of ARM CPUs, and a strong base in the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with software, electronics, and applied science teams to push compute performance on device hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
• Knowledge of ARM CPUs.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience in computer architecture, or experience writing low level drivers.
