Job summary

My Four Wheels is expanding across the UK and is seeking driving instructors. We will train you from the start and guide you to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

You can earn around £38 per hour in lessons, with most work within 30 minutes of home. You decide when you work—mornings, evenings, weekends, or full-time.

Our Training Academy provides online theory, in-car coaching, lesson plans and ongoing support, with training fees paid back after one year of service.

Qualifications

• We will train you from start to ADI.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach learners to drive and help them pass their tests.
• Deliver lessons in line with DVSA guidelines.
• Manage a local diary within 30 minutes of home.

We'll train you from the start and guide you all the way to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

Excellent Earning Potential (£38/hour typical lesson rates)

Lesson rates average around £38 per hour, supporting strong income whether you work part-time or full-time. You decide when you work - mornings, evenings, weekends, or a full-time diary.

Local Work, Less Travel

Most instructors teach within 30 minutes of home, typically covering 6-8 postcodes, helping you maximise teaching time and reduce travel. After passing DVSA Part 2, you are able to apply for a trainee licence, allowing you to begin teaching and earning sooner while completing the final stage of qualification.

New Training Academy - Full Support Built In

Our new Training Academy provides a structured route through DVSA Parts 1, 2 and 3, combining:

• Flexible online learning for theory and preparation
• In-car coaching to build driving and teaching ability
• Lesson plans, resources and ongoing support to help you succeed

We can support you with access to dual-control car options through established providers, including new and nearly-new models such as Ford Puma, Renault Clio, MG3 and Vauxhall Corsa, subject to availability.

You'll help learners gain independence, improve road safety, and experience the satisfaction of seeing students pass and succeed.

Training Fees Paid Back in Full

All instructors pay for training. Training fees can be paid back in full after you have worked with us for 1 year (ask for details).
