Job description

Please note that for this role the training will be completed in Northampton but our site will be moving to Coventry (CV3 4GA) in early 2026. Travel expenses for the training period will be paid by the company. You will be working with the transport team to ensure GXO Logistics fulfil their responsibilities relating to the distribution of Greene King product from the Northampton operational site.

Responsibilities
  • Support the driver to ensure the vehicle is loaded correctly and the load is adequately secured
  • Assist throughout the delivery and collection process
  • Carry out tasks / reasonable requests as required
  • Be responsible for reporting issues to customer care
  • Take ownership of paperwork
  • Support the driver with navigation as required
  • Work as a banksman when required
  • Support depot with the off‑loading and stowing of empty containers
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Previous experience as a Driver Mate or similar desirable
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with a customer‑focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability

Job Details

This is a full time, permanent role. You will be working any 5 days out of 7, rotational weekly shifts of 6am - 2:30pm and 2pm - 10:30pm.
