Job summary

Quest Employment are recruiting for a Multi-Drop Driver’s Mate to support a busy fresh and frozen food distributor in Harlow. You will assist with multi-drop deliveries, loading and unloading, and ensuring products reach customers safely and on time.

Shifts run around 9 hours with early starts 6:00am–7:00am; flexibility is essential as finish times vary with traffic and drops. A reliable team player with good customer service will thrive.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness to perform regular lifting and manual handling.
• Reliable and punctual with a can-do attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Delivery or warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with multi-drop deliveries to customers.
• Load and unload fresh and frozen products safely.
• Deliver goods efficiently and check paperwork/quantities.
• Move deliveries from vehicle to customer premises.
• Maintain food hygiene standards and vehicle cleanliness.
• Provide friendly, professional service and work with the driver.
• Keep delivery paperwork organized and accurate.

Multi-Drop Driver’s Mate – Fresh & Frozen Food

Location: Harlow
Employment Type: Temporary / Ongoing – via Quest Employment
Pay Rate: £13.44 per hour
Hours: Start times between 6:00am and 7:00am – approximately 9-hour shifts

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Multi-Drop Driver’s Mate to work on behalf of our client, a busy fresh and frozen food distribution company based in Harlow.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking for regular, ongoing work.

The Role

Working alongside the delivery driver, you will assist with delivering fresh and frozen food products to customers across multiple locations.

Shifts are approximately 9 hours, but flexibility is essential as finishing times can vary depending on traffic, the number of drops and the day's delivery schedule. You may finish earlier or later than expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with multi-drop deliveries

• Loading and unloading fresh and frozen food products

• Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers

• Helping move deliveries from the vehicle to customer premises

• Checking delivery paperwork and quantities

• Handling products carefully and maintaining food hygiene standards

• Providing a friendly and professional service to customers

• Keeping the delivery vehicle clean and organized

• Working closely with the driver to ensure deliveries run smoothly
