Job summary

Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting a Driver/Waste Operative for Micheldever, Hampshire. The role combines driving company vehicles with collecting and removing commercial waste from business premises across the UK.

Expect approximately 38 hours per week on average, with a starting zero-hours contract that could become permanent. You will need a full, clean UK Category B licence; HGV not required. The job entails overnight stays, PPE provided, and opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK Category B driving licence.
• Experience driving larger vans or long-distance journeys is advantageous.
• Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
• Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good attention to detail with paperwork and documentation.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles to customer premises throughout the UK.
• Collecting and removing commercial waste, unwanted equipment and bulky items.
• Safely lifting, carrying and loading items into vehicles.
• Moving items through buildings, stairs and restricted spaces.
• Transporting materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Completing waste transfer documentation and compliance paperwork.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach with customers.
• Ensuring vehicles and equipment are used safely and responsibly.
• Undertaking overnight stays when required for collections further afield.
