Job summary

ForFarmers UK is looking for an experienced LGV driver to deliver customer orders directly to farms nationwide. Each day brings a new challenge, with independence, variety, and a real sense of reward in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will handle tachograph records and paperwork accurately, adhere to safety standards on farm sites, and may undertake nights out. The role requires English fluency and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• C+E licence is essential.
• Ownership of a digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Regular driving of LGVs with compliance to tachograph rules.
• Fluent English communication with colleagues and customers.
• Strong communication and professional conduct expected.
• Ability to comply with legislation and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• LGV Driving: meet all legal requirements and manage tachograph records.
• Feed Delivery: accurate, safe handling at farms and UFAS compliance.
• Paperwork: complete delivery and cleaning records on time.
• Health & Safety: comply with company and customer policies.
• Environment: follow EMS and site rules, support transport manager.

Your role

As a driver, you'll be delivering customer orders directly to farms across the country-meaning no two days are ever the same.

If you're tired of long waits at distribution centres, sitting in drivers' rooms, and repetitive motorway routes, this could be the role for you.

This is hands-on, physical work in a fast-paced environment. It's not the cleanest job, but it offers variety, independence, and a real sense of reward. Every day brings a new challenge and a different destination.

Your responsibilities

• LGV Driving All legal requirements to be met fully. Consideration for other road users and members of the public. Clear, accurate completion of tachograph records, manual entries and defect reports. Vehicles to be operated within relevant speed and weight limits at all times. Nights out will be involved.
• Feed Delivery Accurate, safe working on customers farms. Care to be taken at all times to achieve correct bins for feed and UFAS compliance. Safety of farm employees, children and stock are paramount. Damage to buildings or other property to be avoided.
• Paperwork All delivery records, cleaning records, defect reports etc., to be completed accurately, in full and on time.
• Health & Safety Comply fully with company & customer health and safety policies.
• Environment Fully adhere to rules set out in the site IPPC, comply with company environment policy and assist the transport manager to improve the site EMS

Your Profile:

• Qualification:- C+E licence
• Ownership of a digital Tachograph Card
• Driver certificate of Professional Competency.
• Regular driving of LGV's.
• Fluent in English: Constant communication with colleagues and customers
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to comply with legislation
• Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism
