Interim Driver Training Manager
About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Interim Driver Training Manager to lead a dynamic team responsible for delivering high-quality training to drivers and engineers. This role is fully site-based and requires a strong leader with a passion for safety, development, and operational excellence. You ll oversee a team of instructors and coordinators, ensuring training programs are effective, compliant, and continuously improved. The role involves using telematics and performance data to identify training needs and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the driver training function from induction to ongoing development.
  • Use data (telematics, customer feedback, safety reports) to identify training needs.
  • Lead investigatory meetings and support damage investigations.
  • Oversee training strategy and delivery to ensure high standards.
  • Monitor productivity and outcomes of training programs.
  • Develop and improve training materials and CPC courses.
  • Manage team performance, development of staff members
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Driver training experience
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Experience in a blue-collar, driver technical environment or similar
