Job summary

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking reliable Driver's Mates for ad-hoc shifts across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. You will join a two-person delivery team, assisting with deliveries and collections, loading and unloading, and ensuring goods reach customer premises safely and on time.

No two shifts are the same, offering flexible work to fit around other commitments. Weekly pay and ongoing opportunities with a supportive team are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in delivery or driver’s mate work is beneficial but not essential.
• Physically able to handle manual tasks and be comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Move goods to and from vehicles safely.
• Participate in multi-drop deliveries as required.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.

Driver's Mate - Ad-Hoc Work

£12.71 per hour PAYE | £14.24 per hour PAYE Advanced

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Driver's Mates to join our team and work with a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Whether you're looking to pick up extra shifts, work around other commitments or simply want flexible work, we have a range of opportunities available.

The Role

As a Driver's Mate, you'll work alongside the driver as part of a two-person delivery team, helping to ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Safely moving goods to and from vehicles
• Assisting with multi-drop deliveries
• Working as part of a two-person delivery team
• Taking goods into customer premises where required
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures

The work can vary depending on the client and assignment, meaning no two shifts are necessarily the same!

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience is beneficial but not essential. We’re more interested in finding people who are reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in.

Experience in delivery, warehouse, manual handling or Driver's Mate work would be an advantage.

Pay & Benefits

PAYE

• £12.71 per hour

PAYE Advanced

• £14.24 per hour
