About the role

We are offering two part-time positions (18 hours per week) for Drivers/Programme Delivery Worker within the Universal Offer in the Hillingdon Youth Offer. These roles are vital to the delivery of our detached and outreach work across the borough.


The successful candidates will join our Detached and Outreach Team, supporting the expansion of our Universal Offer for children and young people.


The ideal candidates will have a positive, holistic, and empowering approach to service delivery. We are looking for individuals with proven experience and competence in driving and working with children and young people, either in formal or informal education or community settings. A deep understanding of the challenges children and young people face today is essential, along with a creative and dynamic approach to engaging hard-to-reach and vulnerable groups.


A full UK driving licence with a D1 entitlement or above is required. Training will be provided as part of the induction process. A willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting children and young people is essential.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To drive our new youth buses to various delivery locations across Hillingdon;

  • To carry out daily vehicle checks

  • To support the delivery of high-quality youth work across the borough of Hillingdon

  • Work collaboratively with statutory, community, and voluntary sector partners

  • Engage with diverse community groups and vulnerable individuals

  • Foster positive relationships with children and young people in safe and supportive spaces

  • Contribute to the development of personal and social growth opportunities

  • Work flexibly across daytime, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts, with occasional residential work


The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have proven experience in driving large vehicles
