Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to keep the yard organized, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records.

  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per the driver operator handbook.

Salary: £39,835.85 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay

Hours: Up to 48 hours per week, Monday - Friday 4am starts

Location: Dundas Spur, Portsmouth, PO3 5NY

What you\'ll be doing
  • Vehicle jet washing:
    • Cleaning vehicles on a daily basis with the driving team.
    • Including cleaning in readiness for MOT Inspection.
  • Loading and Unloading:
    • Handling materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are safely loaded and unloaded from vehicles and stored in designated areas.
  • Yard Maintenance:
    • Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and organised, including waste management and disposal.
  • Stock Management:
    • Keeping track of inventory, ensuring accurate records of materials entering and leaving the yard.
  • Equipment Operation:
    • Operating machinery such as forklifts and telehandlers, following safety procedures.
  • Vehicle loading/unloading:
    • May include loading and unloading bins in readiness for delivery or storage.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensuring all yard activities comply with relevant regulations and company standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Basic Maintenance:
    • Performing minor maintenance tasks, such as basic repairs.
  • Waste Management:
    • Ensuring proper disposal and recycling of waste materials according to company procedures.
  • Other Duties:
    • Assisting with tasks as required by the management team.
