Job description
Overview

We’re looking for a versatile and hands-on Production & Delivery Operative to join our growing team. This dual-role position offers a unique blend of factory-based manufacturing work and on-the-road delivery operations across Scotland.

No prior experience in professional driving or manufacturing is required for this role. As a social enterprise we exist to offer opportunities to veterans who want to start a new career or who have found satisfactory employment hard to come by. Our previous and existing employees include veterans who have experienced serious injury in service (amputees/wheelchair users) or others who have experienced issues post service such as mental health issues or social problems.

Applicants need to be "work ready" - able to get into the routine of work and handle the daily ebb and flow in a busy manufacturing base. We are very supportive of veterans and readily offer welfare advice, sign-post to other agencies to assist with health, financial or legal concerns: most of us have experience of these matters either directly or from working with others.

Most important of all is the "can do" attitude, similar to what you brought to the military.

Factory Responsibilities (2–3 days/week)
  • Operate a range of machinery including CNC routers, engravers, wide-format printers, and hand tools
  • Manufacture signs, printed products, and components to a high-quality standard
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace within our modern factory
  • Receive full training on unfamiliar equipment and processes
Delivery Responsibilities (2–3 days/week)
  • Drive a lightweight curtain-side van to customer depots and premises across Scotland
  • Ensure timely and professional delivery of finished goods
  • Load and unload products with care and attention to detail
  • Represent the company with excellent customer service on-site
What We’re Looking For
  • Full UK driving licence (essential) - familiar with vans up to 3.5 tonne and navigating for multi-drop deliveries
  • Comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in manufacturing or delivery roles is a plus, but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and operate machinery with training
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
