A local council in Barrow-in-Furness is looking for a dependable individual to join their Children's Services team. This role involves driving young people to various appointments, maintaining a clean and secure vehicle, and performing basic maintenance tasks at the residential home. A clean driving licence and strong communication skills are essential. The position promises a rewarding opportunity to support young people in a nurturing environment.

This role combines driving responsibilities with general maintenance duties to support the smooth running of the residential home and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young people.
We’re looking for a dependable and practical individual with a clean driving licence. You’ll have experience interacting with the public face-to-face, a working knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, and a strong commitment to good communication and customer care. If you’re someone who takes pride in supporting others and maintaining high standards, this could be the perfect role for you.

This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is Enhanced DBS Check with a Children’s Barred List check.
