Join Crossley Manor in Prescott as a Driver & Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well‑presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance‑related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. You'll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant you will have:

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose
• Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained
• Assisting in regular checks and maintenance
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings
• Assisting in all decorating
• Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects
• Participating in a 1 week retaining on‑call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance
• Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean internally and externally
• Monitoring and reporting when vehicle maintenance is due

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a UK driver’s licence
• Have previous experience within a maintenance role
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings

You will be working at Crossley Manor, a modernised low‑secure service that supports women over the age of 18 with complex emotional and mental health conditions which are associated with significant risk behaviours. You will join a small team that is committed to empowering recovery and encouraging independence within a residential environment, consisting of two apartments.
