Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot.
  • Strong team player who supports colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • A CSCS card and forklift licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Keep workshop and yard areas clean and tidy.
  • Ensure equipment is pressure cleaned before leaving the depot.
  • Load, deliver, and collect hire equipment to/from customer sites.
  • Carry out hire equipment demonstrations on-site.
  • Service, clean, and maintain portable toilets and welfare units.

The Role

Our Welfare Services division hires a range of portable chemical toilets and ADA approved wheelchair access units alongside mobile eco welfare units.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the heart of the depot and keep the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy, ensuring areas are clear of hazards and tools are stored away correctly.
  • Ensure any equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and is ready for the customer; update fuel logs accurately.
  • Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
  • On customer sites, carry out hire equipment demonstrations when required and complete all relevant checks and administration for the hire accurately.
  • Service, clean and maintain portable toilets and welfare units as part of the role.
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following
  • Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot / yard environment
  • Strong team player who is willing to support colleagues with additional tasks when required
  • Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Full driving licence is essential
  • A CSCS card and forklift licence is preferable
