Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Driver Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated and professional Catering Team at Harrogate District Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team with a range of kitchen porter duties, helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Assist with the delivery of patient meals, ensuring food is transported safely and on time.
  • Work across two local outlets in Harrogate and provide delivery services to Ripon Hospital.
  • Clean kitchens, associated areas, refrigerators, and food stores to required standards.
  • Carry out deep cleaning of floors, wall surfaces, and catering equipment (e.g., fryers, ovens, bain‑maries).
  • Wash pots, pans, utensils, and crockery used by staff and patients.
  • Ensure food waste is disposed of correctly and stored in the designated outside location.
  • Assist with delivery of meals, collection of crockery, and movement of goods as required.
  • Unload and unpack deliveries, ensuring correct storage and stock rotation.
  • Follow Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support colleagues and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Catering Manager or Supervisors.
