Job summary

Morrisons in Bedford is hiring Home Delivery Drivers to bring fresh food straight to customers’ doors. This fast-paced, active role involves loading your van, delivering orders on time, and offering a warm, helpful service as you navigate routes between shifts.

You’ll need a full driving licence, be over 18, and enjoy an active role with heavy lifting up to 18kg. The position includes generous holiday entitlement, store discounts, pension and wellbeing benefits, and genuine career progression

Qualifications

• Full driving licence held for 1+ year and aged 18 or over.
• Friendly, helpful customer service and professional conduct on doorstep deliveries.
• Physical ability to safely lift and move items up to 18kg.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders fresh and on time, providing friendly service to customers.
• Load van, perform vehicle checks, and navigate routes safely within shift times.
• Handle everyday customer queries and keep store team informed while on route.
• Follow health and safety guidelines when handling, lifting and delivering orders.

Our Home Delivery Drivers play a huge part in bringing the best of Morrisons straight to our customers' doorsteps. It’s a fast-paced, active, and varied role where you’ll be out on the road, delivering fresh food on time and helping our local shoppers every day.

You’ll bring a proactive attitude to loading your van, navigating your routes safely, and making sure our customers get a warm, friendly service right at their front door.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver orders fresh and on time, offering a friendly, helpful service that makes our shoppers feel properly looked after.
• Drive safely and efficiently: Load your van securely, carry out vehicle checks, and navigate your routes safely within your shift time.
• Take ownership on the road: Use your initiative to handle everyday customer queries smoothly and keep in touch with the store team while on your route.
• Maintain high safety standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines when handling, lifting, and delivering orders.

More about you

We’d love to hear from you if you’ve held a full driving licence for over 1 year (with no more than 6 points) and are over 18 years old.
