Job summary

A major waste management company is seeking a Driver Development Coach to support driver training and compliance at their Edinburgh Depot. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of HGV driving experience, proven expertise in driver assessments, and a valid Class 2 HGV Licence. This role involves ongoing training, record management, and ensuring all drivers meet legal and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HGV driving experience.
• Proven expertise in conducting driver assessments.
• Valid Class 2 HGV Licence and Digital Tachograph.
• Up-to-date CPC Training.

Responsibilities

• Support the hiring process with pre-employment assessments.
• Provide regular refresher and additional mode training.
• Maintain accurate driver competence and training records.
• Offer reassessment and retraining for drivers following incidents.
• Regularly analyse driving data with management for support needs.
• Conduct targeted support for drivers needing improvements.
• Communicate vehicle technical changes to drivers.
