Job summary

The Vella Group is seeking a Customer Service Driver at our Wednesbury location. You will work in tandem with our Customer Service Reception to ensure smooth vehicle movements, and you will collect and deliver vehicles within strict deadlines.

The role requires CPC qualification and driving experience, with recovery driving experience preferred. You should be a team player with customer service exposure, capable of working alone or with others.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification is required.
• Driving experience is essential.
• Experience with recovery driving is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and have customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Customer Service Reception to ensure exceptional service for all customers.
• Collect and deliver vehicles within given time parameters.
• Drive in a courteous manner and obey local speed limits.
• Understand how to suspend tow for automatic and 4 wheel drive vehicles.
• Handle monies related to insurance excess and VAT; receipt invoices and pass to Customer Service.
• Check recovery trucks (fluids, tyres, belts); report any damage to the Production Manager.
• Occasionally fit small parts or polish vehicles at customer locations.
• Fill out all relevant paperwork.

We are looking to recruit an experienced CPC qualified Driver.

Core Duties And Responsibilities Of The Customer Service Driver

• Work closely in partnership with our Customer Service Reception, to ensure that decisions are made to ensure an exceptional customer service is delivered to all our customers.
• Collect and deliver vehicles within given time parameters
• Drive at all times in a courteous manner and to abide by local speed limits
• Understand how to suspend tow automatic and 4 wheel drive vehicles
• Be responsible for any monies paid in respect of any insurance policy excess, VAT payments etc, receipt any customer invoices and hand all money to customer service
• Do all necessary checks on the recovery trucks including all fluid levels, tyre conditions and pressure. Check all vehicle securing belts are fit for the purpose, report any damage to the Production Manager
• On occasions, fit small parts or polish vehicles at a customer’s home address or workplace
• Filling out all relevant paperwork

About You

• You are CPC qualified.
• You have driving experience
• Ideally, you have experience with recovery driving.
• You work well in a team as well as individually.
• You have some customer service experience.
