Your role as a Driver

Key responsibilities

Overview: As an HGV Driver at NewCold, you will play a crucial role in our operations. We are looking for dedicated drivers able to work a minimum of 12 hours. If you are a skilled HGV Driver looking for a rewarding career, read on!

• 4 on 4 off (day shift).
• Monday to Friday (03:00-05:00 start).
• Friday to Monday (day or night shift).

Pay Rates:

Realistic earnings of £48,518.50 (Mon-Fri day shift) plus £70 additional shift bonus for any extra shifts.

Realistic earnings of £45,077.51 (Fri-Mon night shift) plus £70 additional shift bonus for any extra shifts.

Realistic earnings of £41,156.79 (Fri-Mon day shift) plus £70 additional shift bonus for any extra shifts.

Realistic earnings of £35,133.95 (4 on 4 off day shift) plus £70 additional shift bonus for any extra shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all daily checks are undertaken in line with company standards and legislative requirements, reporting any defects correctly.
• Complete all necessary paperwork on time and in full.
• Ensure all deliveries/collections are loaded correctly at temperature and secure before leaving depots.
• Partake in pre & debrief processes, ensuring traffic office is apprised of any required information regarding delays or incidents.
• Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, respecting other road users and protecting the reputation of the company.
• Ensure safe delivery & collection of goods, minimising risk to self, colleagues & public by following company processes.
• Observe Company rules, procedures, and policies at all times.
• Ensure that the work environment – units and trailers – are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
• Download tachograph card in line with company requirements.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class C + E license.
• Driver CPC qualification (or willingness to obtain, with our support).
• Minimum of 2 years of class 1 experience.
• Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts, including nights.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safety.
