Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Driver for Norton Bottoms Quarry to deliver aggregates across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. Full training will be provided to meet Breedon’s high standards in safety, quality and service.

You will join a team focused on safe driving, efficient deliveries and strong relationships with customers and internal teams. A flexible approach and availability for nights/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience driving HGV and knowledge of local area preferred.
• Valid Class C licence and current Driver CPC.
• Flexible and proactive, with a hands-on approach and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with the Distribution Team and customers.
• Ensure deliveries meet legal, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Work with the Transport Manager to optimise routes and schedules.
• Be flexible with hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Driver to join our team at our Norton Bottoms Quarry . This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet our high standard

Key Responsibilities

• Driving safely and efficiently.
• Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and internal/external customers.
• Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
• Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
• Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. You will have an energetic "hands on" approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated, hard-working person with a positive attitude. You will have experience of HGV driving and have a valid class C licence and a current driver CPC. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the local area and you will preferably be experienced in delivering aggregates and concrete, although this is not essential as training will be provided. You will be flexible in your approach to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends.
