Responsibilities

The role

As a Driver you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of a small but highly effective Transport Services team, where the highest standards are expected. You’ll ensure RAF personnel, equipment and vehicles reach the right place at the right time.

Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for:

  • Loading/unloading and restraint of loads.
  • Driving cars and vans, taking personnel to airports and railheads, and driving them to perform domestic tasks.
  • Ensuring full and complete daily inspections are carried out when tasked or required. Any faults found are to be reported promptly to MT Control personnel using the correct documentation.
  • Completing Airfield Sweeping duties in line with the RAF Cranwell Sweeping plan when required.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell and RAF Digby. You will be travelling across the UK, and you may need to stay overnight with all expenses covered. The role is a casual, zero hour contract allowing you to pick up shifts at your own convenience.

Essential experience
