Job summary

A leading construction firm in the UK seeks an experienced Driver to provide vehicle services at Northwood HQ. The role entails driving various vehicles, ensuring maintenance standards, and working on a shift pattern including weekends. Applicants must hold a valid D or D1 licence and be capable of obtaining security clearance. Ideal candidates will reside within 30 minutes of the location and be committed to delivering an excellent service.

Qualifications

The Motor Transport Department (MT) provides a vital role in support of the UK’s Principal Military Headquarters at Northwood HQ.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to portray a professional image in delivering a first-class service to both military and civil servants.

You will
  • Drive a variety of vehicles within the pool, ranging from cars to minibuses.
  • Provide services in accordance with both MoD and or civilian regulations.
  • Complete first line maintenance, checks in accordance with vehicle specifications and requirements.
  • Valeting and preparation of vehicles when not on driving duties.

As part of the Driver Team at Northwood HQ, your standard working hours are organised according to a 12 week shift pattern which will require you to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday within this period. For this reason, ideally you will reside within 30 mins travel time to Northwood HQ.

We’re looking for
  • Ability to obtain security clearance to ‘SC’ level. In order to obtain clearance, the successful candidate will have been, continually, a resident in the UK for the past 5 years.
