Job summary

ATG Entertainment is seeking a costume technician to maintain the look of the production through upkeep, repair and alterations of costumes. You will dress performers during cover rehearsals and performances and collaborate with the broader production team.

You should have hands-on experience in costume, strong sewing skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a team, with solid interpersonal and time-management abilities.

Job description

Responsibilities include working as part of the team on the upkeep, repair and alteration of all costumes on the production, in order to maintain the look of the production as designed. Other responsibilities include dressing performers during cover rehearsals and performances and other performance-related activities, working as part of an efficient and successful department and liaising with all other departments on the production and associated personnel.

Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in costume, high level of sewing skills, the ability to work under pressure and within a team and good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organisational and time management qualities.

Experience in theatre on a large-scale production is desirable.
