Use design software experience to review, improve and implement innovative concepts and ideas to meet client requirements.

As a Draughtsman / CAD Technician, you will be responsible for:


  • Using drafting tools and platforms (i.e AutoCAD, Solidworks and computer programs) for early phase product development
  • Working and communicating efficiently between project and engineering divisions, liaising with Structural, Engineering and Technology departments to collect relevant technical information
  • Interpreting client requirements and developing in line with project and engineering teams for solutions and recommending ideas
  • Producing technical drawings using 2D and 3D software
  • Creating and maintaining all technical engineering drawings relating to the manufacture of flexible pipe and ancillary components
  • Maintaining CAD templates and standard 2D and 3D modelling libraries
  • Producing illustrative material for Engineering, Commercial and Marketing purposes
  • Checking, reviewing and approval of Engineering drawings (Subject to competency status)


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have a Level 3 BTEC in an Engineering discipline
  • Have proven work experience in the use of both AutoCAD and an associated 3D modelling software (i.e. Solidworks)
  • Have proven experience with reading and creating engineering drawings
  • Have knowledge in manufacturing or engineering fields (or Machining or Fabrication)
  • Have an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
