Job summary

A leading engineering services company in the UK is seeking an experienced Draughtsman with proficiency in AutoCad and a strong background in the Petrochemical sector. Responsibilities include producing engineering drawings, liaising with technical staff, and ensuring adherence to company quality standards. Qualifications

• Experience in the Petrochemical industry, specifically in mechanical draughting.
• Familiarity with AutoCad 2D & 3D is required.
• Strong general IT skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Overview

Our client are looking for a experienced Draughtsman with AutoCad experience and a wealth of experience in the Petrochem / Oil & Gas sectors probably gained as a Mechanical Draughts-person.

Skills/Experience Required

• Piping / Skid Design & Layout
• Pressure Vessel and stack design draughting..
• AutoCad 2D & 3D familiarity
• General MS & Windows IT skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibility for production of (mainly) AutoCad drawings of company's products

Liaison with other Technical Staff such as Project Engineers & Document Controller.

Product Knowledge

Thorough understanding of all the company's product lines.

Thorough understanding of technical design of the company's product lines.

Knowledge of Company Processes

Knowledge of Company's Document Control System

Procedures/Quality System

Responsible for adherence to the company's policy on quality.

Responsible for adherence to company, departmental procedures and work instructions.

Report any deficiency detected within the quality system to the immediate supervisor.

Design

Active role with mechanical engineering and drawings for project execution which includes the preparation/review of engineering drawings and associated contract documentation.

Project Management

Required to work closely with Project Managers to produce required drawings & documents.
