Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher for a creative secondary school in the Wymondham area. You will deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3, GCSE and post-16 groups, helping students build confidence in acting, movement and voice while supporting performances and productions.

The role focuses on creative enrichment, examination preparation, and fostering a student-centred culture within an arts-focused department.

Qualifications

• Drama specialist with strong knowledge of performance and theatre education.
• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent qualification.
• Creative practitioner who can deliver energetic practical lessons.
• Production experience desirable to support school productions.
• Strong organiser who can manage rehearsals, resources and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Teach Drama across KS3, GCSE and post-16 groups.
• Develop students' performance, acting, movement, voice and ensemble skills.
• Support productions, plays and performing arts events.
• Prepare examination students for practical assessments and coursework.
• Encourage creativity through improvisation and theatre-making activities.
• Build confidence by fostering communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
