Job summary

Attega Group Ltd is recruiting a Drainage Assistant for sites across Stockport and surrounding counties. The role is full-time and permanent, with a 45-hour week (6am-3pm) and overtime paid at enhanced rates.

A driving license is required and there is potential to progress to Lead Engineer. The package includes a basic salary of £27,040 per annum, a company pension scheme after three months, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to drainage systems on sites across the UK.
• Work with Lead engineers on all aspects of the role.
• Provide good customer service whilst attending sites.
• Support flushing drainage lines to eliminate scale, silt, and grease build-ups.
• Provide detailed condition reports and service logs to validate asset health.

Flexibility for overnights, weekend work, & overtime is paid at time and a half.

Attega Group is currently partnering with our client in recruiting a Drainage assistant working alongside out PPM Drainage Engineers, within the Stockport area.

This role will involve PPM works and to carry out mechanical clearance works of soil stacks, floats lines and small-bore waste pipes. Following detailed drainage plans.

In return, we are offering a basic salary of £27,040 P/A and various company benefits including pension contribution employees will be auto-enrolled into the company pension scheme after three months’ service. Contributions will be made via salary sacrifice, subject to eligibility and scheme rules and 20 days holidays + bank holidays. The role also offers lots of overtime paid at an enhanced rate of time and a half. The successful Drainage assistant must be flexible for overtime and weekend work due to the nature of job - PPM based tasks - shifts vary from early starts 2/3am and night shifts 7/8pm (must be flexible) they give approx 2 weeks’ notice for OOH/ working away

Duties for this role will include:

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance to drainage systems on sites across the UK to include commercial, industrial, retail, airport, education, and hospitality sectors
• Working with Lead engineers on all aspects of the role
• To provide good customer service whilst attending sites.
• Support in flushing drainage lines regularly to eliminate scale, silt, and fat, oil, and grease build-ups
• Support in supplying detailed condition reports and service logs to validate asset health for insurance and regulatory compliance

The ideal Drainage Assistant must be experienced within

• Manual driving license
• flexibility in overtime, weekend works an occasional nights and stay aways
• Hands on approach
• Willingness to want to progress to become a Lead Engineer
• Experience with driving large vehicles
