Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Draftsperson (Architectural Technician) to produce precise architectural drawings for new services, schools, acquisitions and refurbishments. You will work with the Architect and Planning Lead to translate briefs into coordinated drawing packages.

The role offers hybrid work with regional work and national travel, a full-time permanent contract, and a salary of £35,000–£45,000, in the UK.

Qualifications

Experience using AutoCAD or comparable CAD software to produce architectural drawings.
Understanding of technical drawing conventions, scales and document control.
Ability to interpret briefs, surveys and architect mark-ups.
Strong attention to detail and good organisation across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Produce plans, elevations, sections and construction details using AutoCAD or similar software.
Prepare drawing packages for planning applications and building regulations submissions.
Update drawings to reflect design changes, consultant input and feedback from planning officers.
Assist with measured surveys and produce existing-condition drawings.
Keep drawing registers, revision histories and version control up to date.
Produce as-built and record drawings at project handover.
