Job summary

Job description

Established in 1986 Kirk Craig is a leading independent engineering company specializing in Physical Security products. Kirk Craig is a manufacturer, installer and maintainer of roller shutters, industrial doors, gates, traffic barriers, security steel door sets and automatic doors.

Due to our continued success, Kirk Craig is looking to recruit a Door Engineer for an immediate start.

Kirk Craig will provide on‑the‑job training both in‑house and externally where required.

Skills & experience you will gain:

• The installation and repairs of all types of industrial doors, roller shutters and automatic doors.
• Planned maintenance of all types of industrial doors, roller shutters and automatic doors.
• The installation of steel doors and the automation of doors.
• Reactive call outs and required to work on a call‑out rota system (call‑out bonus applies).
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Needs to be capable of manual work, lifting and physical duties.
• Will be professional and friendly and approachable to customers.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Comply with statutory Health & Safety obligations at all times.
• Comply with our ISO and Company Procedures.
• A CSCS card is required.
• Qualified to BS EN 16005 for automatic doors or work knowledge of this would be an advantage but not essential.
• Able to pass a DBS check (for security purposes).
• IPAF would be an advantage but not essential.
• PASMA would be an advantage but not essential.
• Job training will be given.
• A company vehicle will be provided for the right candidate.
