A community care organization in Newquay is seeking caregivers to provide person-centered care, ensuring the dignity and respect of individuals. Candidates should have experience in personal care and effective communication skills. The role involves developing professional relationships and supporting service users in maintaining personal interests. This position offers an opportunity to grow and gain experience within a supportive environment.
To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed on standards under the direction of the manager.
To support and enable people supported to maintain personal interests whilst delivering person-centered care unique to each individual. Along with meeting all personal care and hygiene needs on a daily basis.
To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge.
Karrek Care will have an on call out of hours service in place. This is for emergencies only and will be active from 6 am until the office opens at 9 am, then from 5 pm when the office closes, until 10:15 pm. All emergencies such as reporting sickness or service user emergencies should all be done so via phone call only as texts may be missed. All non-emergencies will be expected to be reported via phone call to the office, within office hours.
Communication is key when working with vulnerable adults in the community as they may be unable to report issues themselves.
