In order to offer people in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings excellent support and assistance, we are looking for a kind and committed Domiciliary Care Worker. Through individualised care and attention, the chosen candidate will significantly contribute to improving clients’ independence and well-being. Duties

• Provide individualised patient care, which includes help with everyday tasks including dressing, bathing, and getting around.
• Assist clients in administering their medications in compliance with established procedures.
• Help prepare meals while making sure dietary needs are satisfied.
• Effectively and sympathetically control behaviour, particularly when dementia or Alzheimer’s care is involved.
• Create a happy atmosphere by offering clients emotional support and companionship.
• Help clients with their mobility and transportation needs, such as taking them to social events or appointments.
• Keep thorough records of the care given, and notify senior personnel of any issues or modifications to the client’s condition.
• As much as feasible, encourage independence while helping clients with everyday living activities.
• Pay close attention to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols when needed.

Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in home care, nursing home care, or assisted living settings.
• Understanding of behaviour management tactics, hospice assistance, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, and patient care approaches.
• Excellent caregiving abilities and a sympathetic attitude towards elderly and vulnerable people.
• The capacity to help with mobility chores and safely carry big objects.
• Outstanding organisational abilities for effectively handling the demands of several clientele.
• A current driver’s license is preferred for transportation-related tasks.
• Although training can be offered, first aid certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication abilities to engage with patients, families, and medical staff in an efficient manner.
